George turns 8!
The date was set and invitations were sent out for George's 8th birthday.
On the day of the party, we had a great turnout and the house was decorated and ready to unleash the Pokemon trainees.
"Team Tunnel Challenge" was next. This was a lot of fun. The kids were again divided into two teams and they had to throw a balloon through their legs and get it to the end of the line, the last person then ran to the front of the line and carried on until the original leader was back at the beginning of the line.
"Aeroblast Challenge" consisted of throwing pre-made planes through the set of striped cups. We did this in two teams and was another test of accuracy and skill.
The "Jigglypuff Danceoff" was a classic! Again I chose some Pokemon themed music and told the kids to show me their best Jigglypuff moves. I paused the music and got them to do their best Jigglypuff pose which was great.
The last challenge before the Award Ceremony was the "Whismur Circle Challenge". Basically Chinese Whispers, in a circle I whispered something into the first child's ear then it went around the circle and the last child had to tell us what had been said. Quite a laugh indeed. We did this a couple of times and the final statement was "Congratulations you are now all Pokemon Trainers" which was a great lead into the Award Ceremony.
Each child was awarded a certificate, a Pokeball with a Pokemon inside and a Pokemon bracelet. These went down very well indeed. All in all a super successful Pokemon Party, big thanks to The Party Box Company for organising.
